For Sale By Owner (FSBO): The main reason some homeowners consider trying to sell their home themselves is that it's tempting to try to avoid having to pay a real estate agent - I get it. If you're determined and feel that you're up to the task, I understand and I encourage you to give it a try. However, in a competitive market, I suggest that you re-evaluate after no more than 30 days, as time equals money, and sale-fails or languishing on the market can equal several thousands of dollars in price reductions, wasted time and extra house payments.
